Trans-Siberian: Switzerland to Beijing

It is really possible to step outside your door in Europe, board a train, and get off in Beijing. Well, almost! The tram service in St Triphon was not running, so we had to settle for a bus to the nearest station. With a few station changes, we could ride the rails across about half of the world!
Rather than step off a crowded airplane into the seething, humid chaos of Asia, we would take it slowly, absorbing the changes as we went along.
